LOGITECH, WHO ARE YOU !!
Even though the firm and its gaming software are ubiquitous, we're sure there are certain things you don't know.
Logitech is a computer accessory manufacturer well known for its mice. Founded in Switzerland in 1981, It is one of the world's leading hardware firms, Logitech has a hand in almost every computer device you can think of (keyboards, headsets, mice, cameras, and even gaming mics).
It is named Logitech because it is derived from the French word "logiciel," which means "software." Of course, since 1976, the name has been altered at least three times. They adopted the name Bobst as a prototype, then changed it to Softech because of the software background of the three founders, and finally installed the name Logitech in 1981. However, this did not endure forever because, in 2015, Logitech declared that it would be transferring its brand, or at least sections of it, from the computer and mobile accessories to consumer electronics. "Logi'' will be the brand name from now on. The Logi brand reflects the notion that "tech is everywhere," and that "in the future, 'tech' doesn't mean anything," thus the second part of the brand name is superfluous, according to Logitech reps. Some of the company's most famous items, like mice and keyboards, will retain the "Logitech '' moniker and a redesigned logo.
Apple, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Packard Bell, Acer, IBM, Toshiba, Compaq, Vobis Microcomputer, and Siemens Nixdorf Information Systems are among the 18 top computer manufacturers that Logitech offers OEM products to.
The firm, which was founded more than 35 years ago, has earned a reputation for being a pioneer in the computer sector. The infrared computer mice like the Logitech G305, the laser mice, the thumb-operated trackball, and others are among them.
In 2014, Logitech G announced a roster of top professional gaming organizations that use Logitech G hardware. The teams include Alliance in Sweden and Germany, CJ Entus in Korea, DetonatioN in Japan, Invictus Gaming in China, Team SoloMid in the U.S, and so on.
In 2017, Logitech agreed to acquire ASTRO Gaming, a leading console gaming brand. ASTRO has a history of producing award-winning headsets for professional gamers and enthusiasts. Logitech and ASTRO are the leading manufacturers of headsets, mice, keyboards, and streaming webcams for PC and console gamers. The Blue brand will join the likes of Jaybird, Ultimate Ears, ASTRO Gaming, and other well-known Logitech brands. Blue is a well-known American manufacturer of high-quality microphones.
Since we all know that Logitech is known for its mice, especially the Logitech G903 Lightspeed and the Logitech G502 HERO. We also know that its keyboards are second to none, such as the Logitech G Pro keyboard they released, which was one of the greatest keyboards with the ability to remove the cable. In addition, the G Pro's Game Mode key starts game mode with a single push, and you may configure it using Logitech Gaming Software to disable any other keys you don't like.
And this is what distinguishes Logitech: it focuses on computer accessories in general and develops them specifically for gamers.
